Frankfurt Airport [FRA]

A surface that promises improved grip and at the same time optimally protects the concrete surface - with FL8SAFE, we were able to set new standards in the field of airport infrastructure at Frankfurt Airport. 

The refurbishment of the north-west runway had been planned for a long time: we were able to convince Fraport AG of our special ANTISKID surface back in 2017 during a visit to BER Airport (then still Schönefeld). The surface was characterised by its excellent grip and durability; 6 years later, the measure was implemented in Frankfurt. With FL8SAFE, we have further optimised the high standards of ANTISKID to offer even better performance and adaptation to the extreme requirements of air traffic.
The project in Frankfurt shows that we have succeeded in this: the aim of the refurbishment was to install a surface that can withstand the extreme loads at Germany's largest airport and successfully defy the various weather conditions. 
Thanks to the cooperation of all Possehl divisions, we were able to realise this challenging project in record time - within just 14 days. Up to 500 aircraft now land on the new premium surface every day. The project shows how sustainable and efficient solutions enable a future-proof airport infrastructure.
